The much-awaited film Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the main role, is set to premiere on 21st February. In response to the internet backlash, Ashwath addressed the haters in a recent conversation, Tollywood Collections stating, "I watched Don two years ago, just like you. With Pradeep already having a 100-crore film under his belt, why would you assume I'd recreate Don?" The director further stressed the distinct vision behind Dragon, saying, "My storytelling integrity is key. Critics highlighted similarities in aspects such as the hero's easygoing personality, the college backdrop, the romantic angle, and the hero’s familial challenges, drawing links to Don. We’ve purposefully kept a significant twist under wraps to enhance the viewers’ experience in theaters." Ashwath is certain, asserting that those commenting negatively will likely rethink post-release, promising innovative features that set Dragon apart.
