Exploring the Canadian Healthy Oceans Network: A Blueprint for Marine Conservation and Sustainability
The Canadian Healthy Oceans Network (CHONe) represents a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing the scientific understanding and sustainability of marine ecosystems along Canada's vast and diverse coastline. Established to address the multitude of challenges facing marine environments, CHONe integrates multidisciplinary research efforts focused on the health of marine ecosystems, resilience against environmental changes, chone2.ca and the sustainable use of ocean resources.
A Collaborative Framework for Marine Research
CHONe is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and is comprised of a collaboration of over 90 researchers from various academic institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
