Actor Vicky Kaushal responds to the debated sequence that has sparked discussion.

In a recent interview, Vicky Kaushal addressed the debated sequence, stating, "Our goals were always pure and well-meaning from the start. Directed by filmmaker Laxman Utekar, the movie features actress Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role and is inspired by the life of the legendary Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In the wake of intense criticism, the director opted to remove the entire sequence from the final cut of the film. This sequence aimed to highlight Maharashtra’s rich culture to the world. However, respecting the views of Maharaj’s devotees, we chose to cut the dance from the film." The movie is brought to life by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Recently, the film's theatrical trailer sparked controversy due to a lezim dance sequence involving Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, Tollywood Collection which was perceived as disrespectful by some supporters of Sambhaji Maharaj.
