The actual Tan Bark Trail runs up the Partington Creek's southern bad side. There are three spots where it branches off deeper into the canyon's forests. Hikers that keep into the right as well as on the actual trail will ascend along side it of the redwood canyon. Over four miles, the trail experiences a two-thousand foot ascendance in size. Climbing along the waterfalls of a roaring stream and springs that bubble from the hillsides, the trail charges through thich exotic oak stands and Basketweave mosaic tile for traditional homes into manzanitas and venerable madrones.
